The Doctors' Orchestra Concert

We are delighted to invite you to The Doctors’ Orchestra Concert, Cadogan Hall, Sloane Square on Tuesday 6 March 2012
The Doctors’ Orchestra features incredibly talented doctors, who travel in from all over the world especially for this annual event. Following two sell out performances in 2010 and 2011, they have again very kindly offered to donate all proceeds from ticket sales to Freedom from Torture.
Conducted by Dr Stephen Brearley, this year The Doctors’ Orchestra presents a programme which celebrates the wonderful vibrancy of French Romanticism. The evening will also feature a special guest soloist, the multi-award-winning young violinist Min-Jin Kym, who will join the orchestra for Édouard Lalo’s Symphonie Espagnole.
Funds from every ticket sold will go to our unique and specialist work as we continue to rebuild the lives of survivors of torture and organised violence here in the UK.
Programme:
Berlioz: Overture Les Francs-Juges
Debussy: Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune
Lalo: Symphonie Espagnole
Franck: Symphony in D minor
Location: Cadogan Hall is located in Sloane Square in the heart of Chelsea and is one of London’s most prestigious concert halls.
Tickets: £30, £22.50, £15
Online bookings: www.cadoganhall.com
Box Office: 020 7730 4500
There are many people that Freedom from Torture must thank for this wonderful event. Biggest thanks to Stephen Brearley and the members of the Doctors’ Orchestra for volunteering their talents in aid of our organisation. Thank you also to Min Jin Kym for making a special appearance and to Adam Di Chiara for all the creative.
We'd also like to thank the Royal Opera House and Music Room Direct for the donation of fantastic raffle prizes.
