A convivial evening of art and dining with our Edinburgh Local Group!

The evening will begin with Hors d'oeuvres served from 7pm, followed by an illustrated lecture with Dr Ulrike Al Khamis entitled 'Developments in contemporary Middle Eastern art', finishing with delicious Kurdish cuisine at the award winning Hanam's restaurant.

Dr al Khamis has been curator of Muslim Art at Glasgow Museum and was Principal Curator for South Asia and the Middle East at the National Museum of Scotland until 2007, when she became Co-Director at the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization (UAE). She is also Consultant to Harvard Art Museum, lectures at the Aga Khan University, London, and Edinburgh University.

This evening offers a unique opportunity to hear an international expert discussing a fascinating area of modern art, while enjoying a fantastic meal.
