Walk across Morecambe Bay!

The 'cross-bay' walk across the tidal sands of Morecambe Bay is a truly memorable experience. Over 120 square miles of sand are revealed when the tide goes out, making it truly remarkable, because it supports a unique way of life for the fisherfolk who 'follow the sands'.
The sponsored walk taking in spectacular scenery follows the old coach route from Silverdale to Humphrey Head Nature Reserve and will be guided by Alan Sledmore who has been leading walkers across the sands for almost 20 years. To see what a typical walk looks like, please click here.
