Venue:
Hackney Wick station, White Post Lane, London, E9 5ER

Join in the Olympic spirit this summer and walk 5 1/2 miles from near the Olympic stadium to Freedom from Torture's beautiful London centre.

Following last year's successful 'Allotments' Walk, our Oxford supporters group are organising another walk this year. 27 days before the Opening Ceremony, this will be a great opportunity to get close to the magnificient Olympic sites and sample some Olympic spirit whilst supporting survivors of torture.

The walkers will meet at Hackney Wick Overground station at 11.30, walk round to the nearby Olympic site gates and then along the canal, stopping for people to eat their picnics by a cafe in Victoria Park, then further along the canal, and crossing elegant Canonbury to reach Freedom from Torture's HQ via Arsenal's Emirates stadium.

The walk will be a fun day out for all and a great way to meet people and raise funds for the work of Freedom from Torture.

Please put on your walking shoes and support this event.

Please arrange sponsorship for yourself for the walk or pay £10 to join in. For more information and to register please contact John Hume at pebbleshore@btinternet.com or call/text 07855495898.
