The Art Auction (2011)

Auction Night

Our Auction Night was held on Mon 28th Nov 2011 at the Village Underground

This fantastic evening began with drinks and canapés created by the highly acclaimed chef Paul Merrett from 6:30pm. Guests then had have time to view the artworks for auction in the beautiful Village Underground venue.

A silent auction took place throughout the evening, with a dynamic live auction with Christie's director, Piers Boothman as auctioneer.

The room was full to the brim and buzzing as the live auction began, and the huge selection of art works sold for record prices, most notably Edmund de Waal's work which sold for £16,000, and the one off Jake and Dinos Chapman works, made especially for Freedom from Torture which raised over £10,000.

You can see further details of our Art Auction, as well as all of the auction lots here, at our special art auction website.
