Saving in what you believe in
Are your savings being used to support something you don't believe in?
We'd like you to consider what your bank may be doing with your savings. Only 3% of savers in the UK feel their bank does enough to explain what happens to their savings once they are deposited, according to research from leading ethical bank Triodos*.
The research asked savers to say how transparent they felt their banks were about their approach to lending out and investing consumer savings deposits. Shockingly, over a quarter of respondents had absolutely no idea what the banking industry did with their savings once they were deposited.
Triodos is a different kind of bank. Savers' money is only invested in positive ways, supporting people and organisations whose aim is to make the world a better place AND they're completely open about how they use their customers' money. You can see for yourself exactly who they lend to.
We've been working in partnership with Triodos Bank since 2003, and with the help of their savers, they have already donated over £35,000 to support our vital work. What's more, they are now prepared to help us even more.
We would like to thank all our supporters who have already taken advantage of this opportunity, and to urge those who haven't yet, to find out more about opening an account.
See for yourself how you can help to make a lasting impact on the lives of thousands of torture survivors and be confident that your savings will never be used to support industries and regimes that contribute to the suffering of others.
