Freedom from Torture - A gift in your Will

A gift in your Will

Gifts in Wills provide vital funds for our work with survivors of torture.

By remembering Freedom from Torture in your Will you will help transform the lives of those who have experienced torture and persecution. You will ensure that survivors of torture will have access to the vital services they need to rebuild their lives.

You may feel that you may not have much to leave in your Will, but any gift that you chose to leave will be valuable to those we help. So, after you have given consideration to those nearest and dearest to you, you may also like to consider causes that a close to your heart, such as Freedom from Torture.

We rely heavily on legacy gifts (which make up more than 10% of our annual income) to support the many torture survivors arriving at our clinics. Your gift could be used in many ways. It could help maintain our gardening project, provide psychological therapy, music therapy, or maintain our medico-legal documentation to support survivors’ asylum applications.

One of our supporters explains why he chose to remember Freedom from Torture in his Will:

“Although I cannot stop torture being used, I can give my long term support to your work to help heal some of the wounds inflicted on these victims, and this will in a small way balance the destructive aspects of torture.”
