Survivor voices

At Freedom from Torture we play an active role in creating spaces for survivors of torture (both former and where appropriate, current clients) to engage with decision makers and speak out against torture on public platforms - their voices are critical in shaping opinion and influencing decisions that directly affect survivors. As told by a survivor from Chad, “It’s our voice, our stories, who better to speak for us than ourselves”.
