East Sussex Group's South Downs Coastal Walk

Join East Sussex supporters of the charity Freedom from Torture for a beautiful walk along the East Sussex coast ending with a delicious cream tea in East Dean to raise funds for the charity’s work.

 

As in previous years, there will be a choice between walks of different lengths, through the stunning South Downs. The cream tea will be available at the walk's end point at East Dean & Friston Village Hall.

Departure points at Eastbourne & Exceat at 12.00, East Dean at 1.00. Walk 1 is the more challenging, Walk 3 the least, and Walk 2, in between.

• Walk 1: Starts at 12 pm. Exceat/Seven Sisters to East Dean plus optional return walk. (Starting point: BN25 4AD. Meet opposite the visitors centre over the road.)
• Walk 2: Starts at 12 pm. Eastbourne to East Dean – and optional return. (Starting point: BN20 7XN at The Kiosk Cafe on the bend of Dukes Drive.)
• Walk 3: Starts at 1 p.m. Circular walk East Dean to Birling Gap beach and back. (Starting point: BN20 0DR at the East Dean and Friston Village Hall,)

There will be a guide for each walk. Directions, routes & sponsorship forms will be provided after you book.
