Long Journey, Short Life

Iraqi artist Ausama al Khalil, was a distinguished designer and painter. He was also a survivor of torture, which left him with severe pain and disability. His beautiful collection offers a unique perspective on the trials and tribulations of refugees and asylum seekers, escaping from war and civil unrest.

Ausama worked in a number of mediums, creating abstract and modern realist pieces and held exhibitions of his work throughout Iraq and Jordan as well as in England.
