Our youth activism group Young Outspoken Survivors (YOS) are pleased to announce their upcoming book Ending the Silence: Survivors Experience of the Home Office’s Age Assessment
For many young people seeking asylum in the UK, arriving in the country does not mean that their challenges have ended. Hundreds of young people under the age of 18 have had their age questioned and disputed by the Home Office, often resulting in them being treated as adults, subjected to lengthy and distressing assessment processes and not receiving the support they need.
Ending the Silence is a powerful new book that highlights the testimonies, experiences, and artwork of young people whose ages were disputed after arriving in the UK.
