Refugee Tales with Shobu Kapoor and Write to Life
How to get there
Join us for a fantastic literary evening featuring performances by actor Shobu Kapoor and Freedom from Torture's creative writing group Write to Life. Shobu will be reading from Refugee Tales, an outreach project of Gatwick Detainees Welfare Group.
During the interval, there will be an opportunity to visit Freedom from Torture's beautiful therapeutic garden and admire a new exhibition of photographs taken by young Freedom from Torture clients. Wine and snacks will be provided. The evening is part of a series of events organised along the route of this summer's 865-mile bike ride "Cycle against Torture" from Hastings to Edinburgh. There will be an opportunity to hear from and meet the two extraordinary supporters who have organised the ride.
Doors open at 7pm. Event starts at 7.15pm.
